Consitution within May 27 at any cost: Dahal

KATHMANDU- Chairman of the UCPN-Maoist, Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the new constitution will be promulgated within May 27 at any expense.

Talking to media persons after the meeting of the Dispute Resolution Sub-Committee under the Constitutional Committee, Dahal said that term of the Constituent Assembly will not be extended and the new constitution will be promulgated within the slated time.

Dahal further said that efforts are being made to bring out a new outlet by holding serious discussions among the political parties in view of the seriousness of the developing situation.

Similarly, Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party leader Ram Chandra Paudel said that the CA term will not be extended and constitution will be promulgated within May 27.

The meeting ended without entering the formal agenda and the next meeting will be held this afternoon itself.

The four-party meeting including the Madhesi Front will be held at the prime minister’s office and the subcommittee’s official meeting will be held in the afternoon, said Subcommittee Member Laxman Lal Karn. RSS

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Constitutional Committee (CC) scheduled for 11:00 am today has been postponed by pasting a notice. The meeting was postponed on the request of the Dispute Resolution Sub-committee, according to the notice. RSS
