Tamghas – The death toll of Gulmi bus accident has reached 14.The accident took place when a bus (Lu 1 Kha 5583) en route to Kathmandu from Tamghas fell some 500 meters off the road near Lumchha of Hardineta-6 in the district at 5:00 am this morning.
Thirteen passengers died on the spot and more than 20 persons were injured in the accident.Identity of only 10 deceased has been ascertained so far.
Those killed in the accident were Nayab Subba at the District lan Revenue Office, Gulmi, Lal Kumar Shrestha, Harikala Aryal of Nawalparasi, Temlal Pandey of Arkhale, Ran Bahadur Chhetri and Danda Bahadur Chhetri of Merang-5, Tek Bahadur Somare of Birbas-8 from Gulmi, Chanda Bhushal of Wangla from Arghakhanchi, Bishnu Prasad Panthi of Tamghas-3, Laxmi Khanal of Tamghas-1 and Rajan Gautam of Arkhale.
The injured have been taken to Mission Hospital and Lumbini Medical, Palpa, for treatment.The accident took place while the bus was giving way to a motorcycle, said police. RSS
