Views Aired To Address Jammu-Kashmir Dispute As Per UN Resolution

Pakistan’s Ambassador for Nepal, Mazhar Javed, has said the Jammu-Kashmir dispute should be addressed as per the United Nations resolution.
Speaking at a symposium on ‘Jammu-Kashmir dispute and regional stability’ organised today by the Embassy of Pakistan, Kathmandu, he put this view. 
Highlighting the need of existence of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) for regional progress and prosperity, the Pakistan ambassador said the Government of Pakistan was committed to contributing to the efforts for making the organisation active.
Senior journalist Rajan Karki said every country in the world should be freed from the violation of human rights, underlining the need of finding a solution to the Jammu-Kashmir issue in accordance with the UN resolution.
Former Ambassador Hiranya Lal Shrestha was of the opinion that aspirations of Kashmir’s people should be addressed as per the words given by the first prime minister of independent India, Jawaharlal Nehru.
Pakistan observes today as the Kashmir Solidarity Day across the world and the programme was held on the same occasion.
