The number of corona cases in India has crossed 500,000

Kathmandu: The number of people infected with the corona virus in India has crossed 500,000. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the number of corona cases has reached 58,953 as of Saturday morning.

In the last 24 hours alone, corona infection has been confirmed in 18,552 people in India. Similarly, 384 people have died in India in the last 24 hours. At the same time, the death toll from corona in India has reached 15,685.

In India, the tide has turned and the infection is on the rise. According to public health experts, the number of infected people in India is estimated to reach one million by the end of July.

The Indian state of Maharashtra has been hardest hit by the corona virus infection. As of Saturday morning, more than 152,000 infections have been confirmed in Maharashtra. Similarly, 7,106 people have died in Maharashtra and about 80,000 have recovered.

After Maharashtra, the capital Delhi has been most affected. The number of infected people in Delhi has reached 77,240 and 2,492 people have died. Of those confirmed infected, 47,091 have been cured in Delhi so far.

India ranks fourth in coronavirus infection after the United States, Brazil and Russia. As of Saturday morning, more than 2.467 million people had been infected in the United States. Similarly, 125,039 people have died in the United States. The number of recoveries in the United States is about 670,000.

In Brazil, about 1.27 million people have been infected and about 56,000 have died. More than 700,000 have been cured in Brazil. Similarly, the number of infected people in Russia, which is in the third place, has reached around 620,000. Corona infections have killed 8,770 people in Russia. More than 383,000 Russians have recovered.

As of Saturday morning, the number of corona cases worldwide had exceeded 9.8 million. As of Saturday morning, the number of deaths from corona in different countries of the world is more than 494,000. Similarly, out of the confirmed infections, more than 4.9 million have been cured, Kantipur said.
