Humla, Oct. 24: Candidates and political parties are facing difficulty to reach Limi for campaigning for the  elections to the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly to be held on  November 20. It was difficult to reach  the place because of the rainfall there from October 5-10, and snowfall blocked the way to Limi, a village beyond the Himalayas.
Dal Rawal, candidate for the post of member of the House of Representatives from the CPN-UML, said that it was difficult to reach the three villages of Limi in Namkha Rural Municipality-6 for election campaigning.
“We have planned to reach the voters with our election agendas but due to the blocked road, it was difficult for us to reach there,” said Rawal.
In the same way, the candidates of the ruling coalition parties said that no decision was taken to reach Limi  for election canvassing.
They said they were  wait for a few days to make a plan to reach the area with a hope that the snow accumulated on the road would melt.
One needs to cross the Nyalu pass located at an altitude of 5,000 meters above sea level and Nara hill located at a height of 4,600 metres to reach Limi. Snowfall has blocked the roads in both places.
Although  snow that fell earlier this year had melted, the roads to  the three villages of Limi–Til, Halji and Jang—have been damaged, preventing  people from reaching Limi on foot.
To open the road to Limi, the infrastructure development office had tried to remove the snow with machines, but in vain.
Now the candidates do not see any other option  but to hire  a helicopter to reach Limi  for canvassing.
There are 542 voters in the three polling stations of Limi, including 111 voters in Til, 227 voters in Halji and 204 voters in Jang.
It seems that not only the candidates but also the election officers face difficulty to reach Limi to hold the elections.  The Rising Nepal
